First opening in the Bismarck-Mandan area in 2001, Dakota Physical Therapy’s private practice treats individuals as though they are family. Therapists are compassionate and work well with a broad range of age groups: infant care through geriatrics, and everything in between. Since DPT is a private practice therapists are able to develop individual plans of care for each patient.
Dakota Physical Therapy offers post-surgical therapy for total shoulder, knee and hip replacements. Therapy is available for neck, shoulder, back, hip, and knee pain as well as strengthening and balance. Other services we provide include nutrition, weight loss and supplementation. With a team of five full-time physical therapists, we offer care from one of four locations: the clinic in Edgewood Village, the Regional Medical Center in Mandan with Dr. Addy, the Waterford location, and the clinic in Steele, as well as serving contracts to: Edgewood Vista, Primrose, Mapleview (east and north), Triumph Hospital, and the Linton Hospital.
About Dakota Physical Therapy
OUR STAFF:

Chad Bergan, MPT
I was born in Bismarck, ND to Randy and Wanda Bergan. My parents and grandparents owned a farm in McClusky, ND. In 1982 we moved off of the farm to Minot, where I attended school until the six grade. At that point we moved to Burlington, where my Mom and Dad still reside and I attended school through 12th grade. I then started school at MSU in the fall of 1996 until transferring to University of Mary for graduate school in 2001. April Schalesky and I were married shortly before making our move to Bismarck. We both graduated in 2003, April with her computer science degree and I with a Masters in Physical Therapy. I started working immediately with SCCI hospital in Mandan and we bought a house and started our family. I started with Dakota Physical Therapy in 2004 and April returned to school to start her Physical Therapy education. In 2007, after two children, April and I bought Dakota Physical Therapy, PC . We have both been hard at it ever since, working to build our practice and provide the best quality Physical Therapy in the Bismarck/Mandan area. My specialties are in out-patient rehabilitation, Nutrition, and Supplementation. My goal is to help patients prevent disease, decrease chances of surgery, and get them back to their desired level of function.
